Meet Lorne Kethler

With over 13 years of experience in the electrical industry, you can bet Lorne Kethler knows a thing or two about his field. As well, Lorne not only prides himself on being a leader, he also sees extreme importance in being professional. “If I haven’t said it enough-customer safety and satisfaction is so important! This is my home and my connection to the community is very important to me."

Kitimat is notorious for having something for everyone to explore and Lorne is no exception. When he isn’t busy at work, he likes to get outdoors with the family; whether it be fishing, walking, hiking or exploring. One of his favorite local spots is Coho flats and the North Cove trails - it's one that he and his family have recently discovered

Lorne explains that he chose to start his business in Kitimat for familiar reasons. “This is my home,” he says.

No one quite understands the importance of supporting local like an entrepreneur and as such, Lorne is fond of many other Kitimat businesses. West Coast Window Cleaning, Kitimat Northern Light Advertising, Kitimat Computers, Kevcon, DCH, Constant Cravings, Annelise Miller Calderwood Realty and Grumpy's Wooden Toy Shop are a few of his favorites.

The business owner admits that even though there has been a stall within the business community, there is still growth in a few aspects. “Sadly there has been a slowdown in the community, but there have been more small contractors popping up,” he notes.

"I think there is a future for small business, it’s just a matter of helping them survive by supporting them. If they have good products, good customer service and enough support, they can survive."
